Mild LVH at 21 Seeking Reversal Advice
Hello Doctor, I’m a 21-year-old male (turning 22 soon), height 6’0–6’1, and weight 126 kg. I recently had a 2D Echocardiogram, and the impression on my report reads: “Hypertensive heart disease, mild concentric LVH (may be physiological).” I don’t currently monitor my blood pressure and haven’t been on any medication. My ultrasound of the chest came back normal, and I have no symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, or palpitations. I wanted to ask: 1. At my age, is this condition reversible or something to be seriously concerned about? 2. Could this mild concentric LVH be due to my weight or build rather than actual hypertensive disease? 3. What steps diet, exercise, supplements, medicines or treatment can help reverse or normalize it? 4. How often should I repeat my 2D echo or cardiac evaluation? I’m very motivated to make changes and just want to ensure I’m doing the right things early. I would deeply appreciate your guidance on the best approach moving forward.
