Microcytic anemia
Hi... one of my friend who is newly married... recently diagnosed as hypochromic M microcytic anemia... and also her ultrasound shows that her right thyroid lobe is enlarged... she can't get her pregnancy... still it's a year late... will it need any treatment... how it could be treated

Hello...... Microcytic hypochromic anemia is usually seen in iron deficiency ,,get her serum feretin level tested... She needs iron supplement .... You didn't mention her hemoglobin levels... Her hemoglobin should be around 12gm%.......thyroid need further tests like FNAC to know whether it's benign malignant. Consult general physician.
