Metformin cause palpitation
I have been taking olmprix 500 m for 5 years now since few months I'm having palpitations regularly stomach pain sometimes loose motion sometimes constipation. Is it due to metformin being taken for long time?? If so what is next best alternative salt I can take.

Taking metformin long time should not cause loose stools or constipation... May be irritable bowel disease.., need to rule out other causes.. Check thyroid functions - If normal, then try to stop metformin and see for 2 weeks... do any improvement will see
