Mental dizziness/cloud
I am a working professional, recently I experienced a sudden rush in my head, kind of an inflammation that left my brain completely numb. I feel constant heaviness in my head, with limited awareness of surroundings, like a cloud covering the brain, rendering me unable to work or focus. This happened while I was at work & lasted for a couple days, I was fine for the next 2 days & happened again the next day.My doctor says it's nutritional deficiencies & IV been taking vitamin B12 injections & medicines. It's improving but m not confident that this is it. I looked up the internet & figured something called the "Brain fog", which I could relate my condition to. It should be mentioned that I have been in some stress off late, & have too many things on my mind. Also I had alcohol before the day this happened. Can this be an alcohol induced situation. I never had experienced anything like this before & have no history such. it feels like a hangover/dream i cant snap out off.

Hello, As per your symptoms, it seems like a cluster headache which increases with stress. U may be also suffering from anxiety that u may get a similar attack even though ur symptoms are remitting after the injections. If still in doubt, consult ur physician/ neurologist. If everything is all right and u still continue to have these symptoms, consult a psychiatrist.

Well the description given by you looks more towards a cluster headache which occurs mostly in males in this age group. Stress and alcohol are risk factors which worsen the condition.  It is a recurrent condition with severe pain to bear with. The other possibility is tension headache with a band like sensation. But the description given by you doesn't qualify for a tension type headache. Alcohol can produce hang over headache within 24hrs of taking it but recurring again within 2 days is highly unlikely.
Next Steps
kindly consult a neurologist / neuro psychiatrist who can help you.
Health Tips
It is usually a self limiting condition. Don't panic. Kindly avoid alcohol and smoking. Sleep well. Take proper diet. Kindly do exercises if possible.

Hi, from your description it seems to me that these may be symptoms of Anxiety due to the stress you are facing. If you wish you could consult a Neurologist before consulting a Psychiatrist to rule out any organic problem as that would require examination by the doctor. Once any neurological disorder is ruled out, you can consult a Psychiatrist. If you are a habitual alcohol consumer , you can reduce or stop alcohol. If an occasional drinker, you can refrain from drinking for some time as this may exacerbate your anxiety symptoms. You may/may not require medication for this. You will benefit greatly fro reassurance and some counseling as to how to handle stress in a better way. In the meantime, try to eat small meals regularly, eat healthy. Stop drinking or consuming any other stimulants. Try to sleep regularly at the same time and sleep for 8 hours daily. Also try to do some form of exercise daily. Try Yoga or breathing techniques to calm yourself down. This may be a passing thing, however in view of the stress you are experiencing please do consult a Psychiatrist. You will definitely feel better soon. Hope this helps, All the Best!
