Hello,
My mother (age 48) has not got any periods since 1.5 years. We thought that it's finally over but today she suffered from stomach and back pain and got her periods.
Everything else is normal and she is not having any other issue.
Can someone please tell me why this happened?

After one yr of menopause, getting periods is not normal...you need to do ultrasound abdomen and pelvis first followed by other tests....

You should go for checking up endometrial thickness and assessment as soon as possible with gynaecologist as getting periods after 1.5 years can mean cancer also.
