I have been asked to take fragmin 2500 units daily for the entire pregnancy period. Is it safe and is it advised for everyone..

fragmin is basically heparin. this is used in cases of recurrent pregnancy loss in whom apla syndrome has been diagnosed. If its necessary then you can continue it but you need to get blood test like pt and aptt done frequently so as to monitor the dose. It as such does not harm the baby.but monitoring is must so that bleeding doesnot occur.
