I have been diagnosed as an early onset dementia patient. I had hypometabplism in frontal, temporal, parietal lobes. And also hypoperfusion in the same areas of the brain. All my blood work is normal. The csf is also normal not tested for tau and amyloid. Gene testing of dementia is normal just LRP5(+) gene was there and possibility of FEVR. All possible treatable causes of dementia has been ruled out. My symptoms include decline in acadmic and work productivity. Decline in reading and literacy skills. Problems in memory and recalling things. Severe problems in basic comprehension. Events of forgetfulness are there. Difficulty in processing visual stimuli. Feels weird on the left side of the brain and face. Right side is better. I feel confused most of the time on the condition and I used to be a good academically and intellectually. I have seen over 20-30 doctors in neurology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, gastroenterology and endocrinology at Apollo, Fortis, Gangaram, Max and Artemis.
