Mastectomy
I'm scheduled for a prophylactic mastectomy wit immediate reconstruction and I have two dates to pick, either January 17 or February 26. I was not diagnosed with breast cancer but I got a a BIRADS 3 last time I had a mammogram (4 months ago). If, hypothetically, there is a small tumor would it make a substantial difference in having a mastectomy in February versus January? Thanks for any input

why was Prophylactic Mastectomy prescribed at all??? Do you have a genetic mutation reported?? BIRADS 3 needs to be worked up, not by mastectomy.
