Hi. Thanks for sharing your inner world and being courageous to seek professional help. What is important here to understand is - WHY are you looking for an ideal world or ideal people? You may want to explore questions like - Is it an unrealistic expectation? Is it that YOU want to be perfect or completely ideal and hence you expect the same from everyone? Is it hard for you to accept less than perfection? Is the idea of “ideal” not very close to reality? You can also ask yourself - what type of negativity do you want to support? Is it harming you or anyone around you? Are you trying to increase your knowledge or want others to do it? Are you trying to fulfil your needs through others? An ideal mind is a mind that you build and create for yourself. An ideal mind is which is in sync with your personality, your values, your goals and your needs. And to each person, the definition of ideal would be different and unique. To answer your question- yes, Counseling with a psychologist can help you understand yourself in a more meaningful way. Hope this helped. Take care.
