Lupus anticoagulant
Hi, I recently had a blood test and it come back positive for lupus anticoagulant and on the same day I also found out I was pregnant. After a bit of research I found out that I’m a high risk of miscarriage even at the later stages on pregnancy. I went to my doctors with my concern but he said I shouldn’t do anything for now until I have another blood test in July. I can’t help but feel I’m wasting time I’m not taking preventions now and just wanted a second opinion on this? Thanks

It is true that if you have confirmed lupus during pregnancy there are chances of abortion especially in the first thee months. Get it confirmed by doing ANA profile. Also get APLA  antibodies tested as well get the whole ANA profile done BUT confirm the pregnancy first.
