Have lupus
Sir, My mother has lupus from last 4 years and is taking hcqs 200 mg daily and defcort . Defcort is stopped from last 2 months. Can she catch covid 19 and black fungus? Also can a lupus patient take covid vaccine? Please help. Thankyou .

Lupus pt can take vaccine. Go ahead ✌ Black fungus is seen in: diabetes patients( uncontrolled) High dose steroids Hospital environment (contamined) Unsterile mask The patient has none of the risk factors . Risk of covid 19 depends on her following adequate covid protocol ,social distancing and hygiene. If she does, her chances of catching the infection will be less.

No.. your mother won't catch covid 19 or black fungus, unless she expose to covid 19 infected patient.. She can take covid vaccination..
