Lump on neck near to ear
There is lump on neck of my mom age 45 and as per doctor suggested got CYTOLOGY report FNAC swelling Neck (Right ) was done and report says as below . Now doctor suggested to start taking AKT-4 without biopsy can we start we should consult other doctor. Thank you so much in advance

Epitheloid cells are highly suggestive of TB if u want u can do a series of test just to get that it's a TB of a lymphnode. It's better to start AKT

Your doctor is right in starting AKT empirically on seeing necrotic lymphnodes. Just make sure that along with the AKT, the patient receives a high protein diet to give strength during the treatment phase as Tuberculosis drains the patient's energy!
