Lump in the breast with pain on touch
In 2014 I was breastfeeding my 1 yr old child. That time I experienced pain in my right breast while feeding. On consulting a surgeon from Apollo doctor diagnosed to have an abcess with milk accumulation. The pus was taken out with syringe in 2 sitting. Biopsy was negative for cancer. Now since 15 days I am experiencing mild pain and can feel on touch small lump in the breast. Please advise now which department doctor should I consult. Should I visit a surgeon or an oncologist

Hi.. thanks for contacting practo for health query. I am Dr.Shanmugavadivu answering your post I can understand the anxiety behind your question.Do not worry. All breast lumps are not cancer. But any way you should not take things easier as well. So you meet a surgeon with specialisation in breast.May be he will ask for mammogram and may proceed with biopsy if in doubt.Hope this helps.
