Lump in the breast
Hello doc, Bharat I'd my maid and she is really worried about the lump in her left breast. the doctor has recommended mammography and blood test, ECG, everything is normal and the lump is not cancerous. as it's not a major operation the doc is suggesting her to stay in the hospital for a week. is this appropriate?

Hello, all breast lumps are not cancers. Breast abcess, benign tumors can also present with lump. If there is local collection of abcess in breast it need to be drained ,if its benign tumor it has to be removed surgically. If she needs surgery whether minor or major 4-5 days post operation care is required. So let her stay in hospital.
