Low voice
My uncle who is 83 year old and he is taking medicine for diabetes and heart he had a bypass 15 years back . he gets low voice once in a couple of days and on having butter milk with salt he gets better what could be the problem - it is happening for the last one year

It can be due to reflux laryngitis. Proper history to be elicited to know more about this. Habits, co morbid conditions information is needed. Also examining the throat including the vocal cord will help us know the cause.
Next Steps
Further consultation and examination. If reflux laryngitis, voice rest with medication will help. For others, once the diagnosis is confirmed..treatment can be given accordingly.
