Low pulse rate
My father is 62 years old...He is a patient of hypertension and diabetes...From last one month he is having low pulse rate,i.e., 58bpm... Sometimes he feels suffocated and dizzy also...Today his blood pressure comes 150/95 and pulse rate 58...What is the reason of low pulse rate(58)...Is there anything to worry about? Please help.

Your father has hypertension and Diabeties Patients of hypertension are on medication called beta blockers which reduce the heart rate and also reduce the blood pressure Please check if b blockers is a part of ur father's prescription Feeling suffocating and dizziness my b sugar related If sugars are within acceptable range i would suggest you get a ECG echo and stress test done .
