Low Hemoglobin
Hello Doctor, My mother, age 70, she had frontal left ICH two months back and then got diagnosed with Pulmonary embolism and DVT. She has Abdominal issues like too much gas formation, indigestion, multiple episodes of stool passing,proctocolitis In her recent blood test, I see her Hemoglobin is going down. On 17th Oct it was around 10.7, 23rd October 9.6, 28th Oct 9. Can you please take a look at the attached reports and let me know what kind of anemia is she actually suffering from. Her sgpt, SGOT , bilirubin are within the normal range while ALP(160) and GGT (205) are high and protein is low (4.7 total, albumin -2.5, globulin -2.2) Vit B12 high - 1350. She is on below medications: 1. Tab thyroxine 50 once daily empty stomach. 2. Tab Levipil 750 bds. 3. Tab Lacosam 50 bds. 4. Cap Dabigatran 110 bds. 5. Tab Ursetor 300 bds. 6. Tab Ivabid 2.5mg bds. 7. Tab Magnorate TDS. 8. Cap. VSL#3 once daily. 9. Tab mucinac 600. 10. Respule Duolin 4 times a day. 11. Respule Foracort 2 times a day.

Normocytic normochromic anemia may be due to underlying chronic colitis ,Get her stool routine examination done and treat her colitis,
