Low ferritin and thallasemia
Hello doctor, i m 28 weeks pregnant. Because my HB was low 8.6 my gyn siggest me ferritin and thallasemia test ferritin result were low i.e 8.29 so i m given iron injection Does low ferritin mean i will b thallasemia positive? my thallasemia result is pending Also does iron defeciency affect baby? what are causes of shuch low iron

Ferritin is low means you have iron deficiency Anemia. Wait for Thalassemia reports Baby wont be effected with hb -8, but you should correct it soon as baby's weight gain can be hampered
