Loss of muscle tone and energy
Suffere from compress fracture in spine 1 minth ago. Was also suffering from gastritis and vomiting since 15days due ti which have become very weak, lost weight alos and muscles have become loose and skin wrinkled. I have started physiotherapy recently. Will i gain back my muscke tone and strength at my current age of 60 yrs? And how long will it take?

Yes, surely... the patient can do mobility exercises, stretches and moderate core muscles strengthening exercises. Mobility exercises: Will help the patient to restore and improve his range of motion for joints thereby preventing bedsores also increase in blood circulation accerlates recovery by avoiding issues like swelling in limbs minimizing pain. Stretches: Customized stretches will help enhance the flexibility of muscles which would assist in maintaining optimal muscle tone. Moderate  core muscles strengthening exercises: Strength to core will help the patient to support his spine and faster as well as better recovery. In addition will improve his digestive issues like gastritis. The complete rehabilitation duration for the patient for muscle tone and strength would fairly take 3 months for healthy recovery.
Next Steps
Patient should further continue these exercises for next 3 months with complete dedication. Patient can take his follow-up after a duration of 6 months with his physiotherapist to get updated with his prognosis and accordingly the physiotherapist can suggest him/her for next steps if required.

Hello Sir! It is good to hear to the way you are taking your bodily condition. Where there is a will there is a way. Please consult a dietician for proper nutrition guidance as you have BPH. Take your medicines timely. Stay active. Adhere to physiotherapy solely. Take regular health check-ups. Take proper follow-ups. Sir, We should not deny that with ageing which has a process of degeneration, where body and it's parts move towards slowering down of processes; we cannot do anything to save something that is lost. And we can certainly preserve something that is still in hand. It would have been good if the reason behind spine compression fracture was known. Be it osteoporosis, it takes long time to heal. Anyhow, we can prevent future fractures and surely preserve what's not lost. Keep taking physiotherapy.

Yes u can tone your body with the help of physio therapist. Time duration depends on body to body n also your will power. Diet rich in calcium advised. Maintain good levels of vitamin D in body. Drink plenty of water. Stay happy
