Loosing a job
Hi my manager called me he will analyse my performance for 2 weeks and then decide whether he will continue with me Or not. I have given almost 1yr to organization. And since 2 months my performance is decline. What should I do. I am feeling restlessness after hearing.. I did not said anything to him. But what should I say if he call me after 2 weeks and says we cannot continue with you. It's a consultant role.

Hi, currently your mind is overthinking & stressing out a lot due to pressure. If you have 2 weeks in your hand, then you can pull yourself & perform better. Also, do talk to your manager about his expectations to get better idea. If from 2 months your performance is declining, then is there something else that is bothering you. Talk to professional to manage anxiety & concentration. Through hypnotherapy we can very well train our brain for that.

Hi, you said your performance has been declining since two months. This could be the reason for the manager to give you two weeks time to check if you will improve your performance or not. That means the manager wants to keep you if you perform to his satisfaction for two weeks. So pull yourself up, do your best and show the manager that you are a performer and that you can be an asset to the organization. This is the only way to retain your job.

Sir,you should go and directly speak to him regarding this as this will affect your work performance as well. Assure him that if given a chance you will perform to the best of your abilities and you are willing to improve and do what ever is required and expected of you. Inquire from him what errors have you made so that you can start by improving from the same.

Hi... Typically, managers representing a poor culture demonstrate this kind of pressure tactics. This might be an outcome of internal politics or change in market demand. We need to stop finding our self worth based on our Job performance. This a shallow capitalist idea of reducing a human being into a physical resource and exploiting it to its core. Businesses do not give jobs on charity. They have a work to do, an order to deliver, a product to build, or a service that is needed. They hire people to those tasks that are primarily a product of market demand, competition, economics, etc. I don't know when this idea of finding self worth in a job creeped in our society, maybe post industrial revolution, I suppose. But it is a completely false idea of reducing a human being into a resource. You are only liable to earn a living for yourself and your family. That is because we have created a world that runs on money. Apart from it your job has no relevance to your personality or self worth. A whole lot of Big MNC, Unicorns, Fintech/Edu-tech Startups, etc. have shamelessly fired thousands of their employees recently due to fear of recession in the U.S. and the world. They also paid twice, thrice, even five times more salaries to employees during the pandemic period because of sudden rise in market demand. Its no one's fault. This is how capitalist economies work. We need to accept it and stop finding ourselves in our jobs. We are only liable to earn money to fulfil our needs and than may be our wants. Nothing more is required.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling is required.
