Loose stool
My daughter is 3 months and 10 days old. She is on mixed feed. Last friday to monday she had diarrhoea and it’s subsided now. And for last two days she is completely on breastfeed and didnt pass stool. Today gave formula milk twice morning and evening along with breastfeed and she passed loose stool. Is jt normal?? Or is it because of formula milk or diarrhoea is not subsided yet ? Please confirm

Occasionally children may not pass stools for one or two days after an episode of diarrhoeal desease which is taken for granted. It’s better not to give formula feeds which is a potential cause of diarrhoea especially if contaminated and the child developed diarrhoea following feeding the same.Rarely the diarrhoea may have a prolonged duration as well .
Next Steps
Stop giving formula feeds.
Health Tips
Consult your doctor if it is prolonged,if child becomes drowsy, less active, poorly feeding, urine volume and frequency is less
