Loose motions and vomiting
Hello doctor my son 10months old now since last two days he vomit after every feed. Iam using domstal syrup for vomiting. He passess watery stool 3-4 times a day. Baby is active but he refused to take food. Can i use cefpodoxime oral suspension antibiotic for my baby pls suggest me ...🙏

Most probably viral diarrhoea.....no need for antibiotics....ors,zinc n probiotics

You may continue syp.Domstal but preferably prior to feed. Cefpodoxine is not advisable in your son’s case. Usually any illness will lead to refusal to feed in the young. You can continue breast feeding, hydration and usual feeds. Don’t worry as 3-4 watery stools per day may not lead to dehydration.

To consult nearest Pediatrician in case of increase in frequency or amount. To look for any change in smell or white colour in stool.
