I have been observing this for past 2 months that when I wake up after sleep, one of the finger feels like its joint is locked. When I try to make that finger straight, there is mild pain and feels like some joint friction in that point.

Hi
On the basis of what you are saying, you seem to be having Trigger Finger.
In our hand, there are string-like structures called tendons. These tendons help us fold/straighten out fingers. In your case, one of those tendons is probably getting obstructed at the base of the finger...and that is why you have pain and obstructed movement.
Try the following:
*Take a bowl of warm water and a handkerchief. Dip the handkerchief in the water and keep this warm water handkerchief over the base of the affected finger. Keep it for 10 minutes. Do this 2-3 times a day for 7 days.
*Tab Flexon (1 tablet after lunch and 1 tablet after dinner for 7 days) (if you are not allergic to it)
*Tab Pantakind (1 tablet before breakfast in the morning for 7 days)
Next Steps
Follow the above steps and do let me know if you have pain relief after 1 week. If you don't feel better, you may need to get a steroid injection in your finger.
