Alcohol is the most common cauae in India foe liver failure, but other causes are also present in people who do not take alcohol.
Ascites (water in abdomen) is a sign of liver failure. But to understand the cause ans current management and further monitoring, discussion is needed.
Restriction of water to 800-1000 ml in a day

Bro there is a list of disease which can cause this, alcohol being one of the common cause.
Ya water in abdomen is common symptoms of liver failure hence dr is on a right track.
The dr must have conducted few investigation before telling u this ,kindly share the report along with the history to ELUCIDATE the cause behind this.
