Ear discharge, also known as otorrhea, is any fluid that comes from the ear.
Dischage from ear can be due to external ear, middle ear infection. Colour of dischage partly determines the cause.
If the colour is watery then it can be Acute Suppurative Otitis Media or CSF Otorrhoea.
If the colour is yellowish then it can be Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media (CSOM), Otitis externa, Furunculosis, Otomycosis of ear.
If the colour is blood mixed then it can be trauma or CSOM.
If it is greenish in colour it can be due to Malignant Otitis Media or Pseudomonas infection.
