So, there is a dark layer in the middle of the lips and it looks chapped. My dermatologist recommended me to use desoadd cream 2 times a day for 5 days and to apply petroleum jelly afterwards. My question is- how long should I let the cream to stay on my lips ?

Difficult to comment on the diagnosis and treatment without any pictures But if you're asking just about the desoadd cream, you can leave it on without washing off. Avoid Washing the area atleast for half n hour
