Lipoma and  multi system Sarcoidosis
Hello , Please let me know whether the lipoma has to be removed as it's painful. And if yes, then how long is the recovery time and how long I have to stay at hospital as I also have to take inflimab iv infusion for sarcoidosis. Thank you

Yes lipoma has to be removed, as it is a symptomatic lesion with more than 5 cm length in your case. Hospital stay depend from  Hospital to Hospital, whether it's been excised under local or general anesthesia as a day care procedure, otherwise recovery must be pretty good.

If causing problem the lump needs to be excised... Generally excision of the lump of the aforementioned size and depth of location the recovery time is 3-4 days...and most probably will be a day care procedure under local anaesthesia... Infliximab can be continued pre and post operatively provided broad spectrum antibiotics are given post operatively
