LIPID profile & LFT
Hi.. I am getting my lipid profile and liver function tests done tmrow morning. I am aware that I'm supposed to be fasting for abt 10 to 12 hours before my blood sample gets taken. Actually I'm on a 3 day course of Azithromycin 500mg (once a day) I wanted to know if this ongoing medication would affect the blood test results in any way? Please advise!

Azithromycin, especially in overdose, affects the liver. It is better to have a drug-free interval of at least 2 days before doing any blood test.
