Is serum triglycerid called lipid test?
I wanted to know the correct test name for serum triglycerid test.. is it lipid profile or lipid panel?

Cholesterol (various types, like HDL, LDL, VLDL) and Triglycerides together are referred to as Lipids and ordering a collective test for them is called Lipid Profile Test. One may send requisition for doing Triglycerides only separately. Generally the whole Lipid Profile is ordered in patients whose previous status is not known.
