Ligament tear and bone crack
My doctor said I have a ligament tear and bone crack. Earlier he pressed my lower part of my left leg and talus bone where I experienced pain and then refered the following x ray. What is your opinion and treatment? Also how to spot a ligament tear in the x ray? Thanks in advance

Your x-rays look overall fine. No major fractures.very small fractures can be missed sometimes even with experienced radiologist and orthopaedician. Ligament tears are clinical diagnosis and not x-ray diagnosis. If you want to rule out bone fractures CT scan is best. MRI scan are helpful in picking up ligament tears. It is always 100percent right taking the complete scenario of both clinical picture and diagnostic imaging into account before labelling the diagnosis .out of which clinical picture of how you are is more important than any diagnostic imaging on this earth. Please do not try to read an x-ray and come to a diagnosis. The general population is heading towards Google doctoring which is pathetic and should be avoided. In your case it will take 3to 6weeks before you will get some pain releif if you have ligament tears. Otherwise get an MRI scan done and know what is happening. Your orthopaedician will advise you further.
