My 5 year old daughter has head lice and nits. We have already tried P Scab soap (Permethrin 1%), but it is not of much help. Is there any other effective way to treat?

The shampoo isn't effective on the nits. So 10 days after the first shampoo you will have to shampoo the second time on the 10th day. Also, everyone at home should follow the same (shampoo on the same day as hope your daughter). Try doing this. It should work. If it doesn't visit an allopathic dermatologist near you.

Greetings. The soap may not be of much help but try using lotion - permethrin 1% lotion - apply 15 to 20 minutes - before bath - on the scalp and then wash off during bath. Use a suitable comb to remove nits and dead lice. Do this once in a week for four weeks. Treatment to be taken by all members of the family. Further queries may be sent on follow up messaging. Warm regards.
