There isn't sufficient information to reach a specific diagnosis. I would advise you to visit the ER so that he can be evaluated and undergo investigations such as RFT, venous doppler, etc. to find the underlying cause and have it treated accordingly. Placing the leg in a cold water with salt may help bringing down the swelling, keep the leg raised and don't apply pressure over the feet.
