Legs swelling
My mother is facing irregular periods...from many days she is suffering with swelling of legs...she can't able to walk...she is paralysed too...it happened in 2012...from that onwards she is taking medicines for paralysis...please suggest treatment for those swelling of legs

Dear sir If the leg swelling is intermittent and increases and decreases often, it is more likely to be a vascular problem or systemic problem than a neurological problem Please consult a vascular surgeon at once

hello there. as you have mentioned the age as 56 years, she should have attained menopause by now. therefore the irregular periods. for the swelling of the legs get her blood pressure, blood sugar and ECG done once so that the cause of it can be established. Take treatment for hypertension. it is a vascular problem rather than a neurological problem. kindly revert with reports or consult a general physician with reports. best regards.
