Get a DTPA renogram for any ectopic kidney mass and relative function. Total GFR can also be obtained with DTPA renogram. However don’t worry if creatinine is normal. Many have single kidneys undiagnosed in their life with normal kidney function.

Contrast enhanced CT abdomen is the definitive diagnostic test to identify the ectopic kidney.
But for this test your serum creatinine level should be normal.
First get the serum creatinine test done followed by CT scan and consult a urologist.
