Left focal asymmetry
Hi - I had my first mammogram (clinically no palpable mass) was a 3D mammogram which had finding of left focal asymmetry in upper outer quadrant and was given Birads 0. The doctor then did an ultrasound and said all normal - report said area of mammographic concern correlates to glandular tissue and changed overall to Birads 1. I also showed it to my breast surgeon who said it's normal and to follow up in one year. However everything I read online says focal asymmetry should be Birads 3 even with clear ultrasound and have 6 month follow-up atleast for 2 years. Please let me know if I should go for 6 monthly assessments.
