In all probability the ringing of ear is due to cough and cold. Secretion from nose goes via a tube to the ear and thus blocks the ear and also causes the ringing sound.
Next Steps
Take decongestant nasal drop in sleeping posture with head tilted little down than body, so that the nasal drop enters via the Eustachian tube (Tube that connects from nose to ear) to the ear and drains the secretion out of ear.
