Late stage dementia
My mom aged 63 suffering from dementia for past 10 years, having severe weight loss bedridden unable to communicate somehow managed to eat mashed food and little fluids by hand feeding, getting 3rd uti in six months, having gall bladder stones etc I m not able to see her suffer more. No pill maker her calm she is making sounds like crying through out the day even after trying pain killers.why she is crying,moaning all the day? Why don't doctors start opiod or sedation ? She is given with anxiety 2.5 mg twice a day and nexito plus 5 mg in night. She is not sleeping what can be done to make her comfortable pain-free ? Please help

I am very sorry to hear of your mother’s problems. I would suggest you consult a psychiatrist who specialises in dementia and/or a palliative care physician.
