LASIK QUERY
Right eye -4 -2.75*170° (584 CCT) Left eye -6 -2.5*170° (573 CCT). Fundus normal, steep cornea but no progression. Should I have Lasik or SMILE? Age 25 Chances of corneal ectasia? Chances of over correction/ under correction? Will I achieve 6/6 vision? Intermittent extropia is present in my right eye (15° ADS) Will it cause any problem during/ after surgery?

Hello A. For steep cornea, there are chances of flap complications with microkeratome Lasik....you may opt for femtosecond laser B. Smile is also good option You may go for smile or femtosecond laser ( blade free Lasik) Chances of corneal ectasia are less as you have thick cornea Chances of under and overcorrection are not much different between two procedures Chance of attaining 6/6 vision is 96% Intermittent exotropia will not affect Lasik surgery
