Laryngeal papillomas are caused by human papilloma viruses (HPV). At present no antiviral drugs are quite effective in eradicating laryngeal papillomas, besides these drugs are expensive, toxic and not available in India. Effective treatment consists   of laser removal of laryngeal papillomas in multiple sitting.
