I have a large uvula for which I have sore throat and cough. A pulmonologist asked me to do sleep study because I have snoring problem. He also asked me to get an ENT opinion with a video laryngoscopy done to see the upper airway. ENT said it is fine and I need not worry about any sleep apnoea, but the pulmonologist has another opinion. I don't know whom to believe, because ENT gave me a thumbs up but the Pulmonologist, without any diagnosis has scared me that I may have sleep apnea. I'm scared and confused. Help

Hello....... Snoring could be due to large uvula or some other cause like short obese neck or obstruction anywhere in nasopharynx.. Examining palate /uvula in fiber optic nasopharyngoscpy by asking patient to imitate snoring is way to identify the cause.. If it's inflammed uvula let inflammation subside.....
