I live in some different state fr whch m not much eager to learn my own mother tongue..apart from society gatherings..there is not much requirement..so is it necessary to learn

As you know, every culture, be it in any part of the world, has its own inherent uniqueness, beauty and values. Being aware of one's own cultural identity, and attempting to know more about it enhances one's uniqueness as an individual. Language is an indisputable part of the whole. An interesting and engaging route to learning about a culture could be through the vast treasure of Literature and Arts and as you know language is the thread that binds it all.
Hi language makes a huge difference in communication. It actually touch the emotions of the opposite person, might full the requirement also.
It depends on how much it makes the difference when you communicate and you share actually need to be. It might make you feel comfortable.
If you experience there is no requirement to it, you can leave it.
If you are linguist and you can pick languages just like that, you can still learn it, because, you can xommu8and connect with people better..
