Whenever there is PRIMARY lactose intolerance, and it is diagnosed, milk to be avoided. But it's a very rare disease specially due to lactase deficiency with only around 40 cases having been reported throughout the world. Mostly the intolerance is secondary in which hydrolyzed supplements are given. Please ensure your baby has true intolerance of breast milk

Hello!! If your baby has lactose intolerance the only way you can give is the lactose free formula Although Lactose free formula feed either Nusobee or zerolac  contents the maltodextrin (hydrolysed corn starch) they are in normal consumable amount without side effect. Maltodextrin upto 1gm/kg is consumable amount. So you can give it as prescribed by your Pediatrician.
Next Steps
consult if you find any side effect like gas, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal cramp in your baby
