Lactation consultant wuery
My baby is 4 months now and since past 3 weeks he has started sucking his thumb and has stopped breastfeeding. I need to express milk everytime and feed him. This has caused pain and sort of lump in my right breast. What can be done for this. Thanks

do not express the milk. just put her on breast, tie her thumb with sterile gauze. when she is hungry, surely she will suck your breast. put your babyon alternate breast to start. if you are putting on Right , then next time start with left In between keep tickling her forehead or cheek You give massage to your breast systemically .and give cold compression.Youhave tohave determination, So buck up.

Please visit a lactation consultant soon in person to help you drain the milk and reduce the lump. Don't delay as pain will increase if you delay. Later they will teach you how to prevent this problem. Continue expressing milk and giving.
