Knee pain due to walking
My father is suffering from DIABETES, ACKD,CABG surgery done in 2019.
Sir, doctor has given a target of 5000 steps walking daily to improve his heart functioning as his LVEF is very low & for diabetes related issue
But it is astonishing to note that he has severe pain in the knee region due to walking what to do now ? How can he achieved the target?

It may be due to age related degenerative joint disease. Need to increase walking gradually
