Knee crackles and pain in ankle
Dr. I'm 26 year old masters student,i have hypothyroid and pcod. last year I came to northeast to study, and since 8 months, i' m having ankle pain when i wake up and my left knee makes sound of cracks when i stand up after sitting or squatting. Please suggest me what should i take precaution and what can be the cure.

You can try using an ankle binder for few days and check how the pain is Sounds from the knee is not much to worry Start knee and ankle muscle strengthening exercises Take tab uprise d3 60k tablet weekly once for 6weeks Tab lubrijoint daily one for 2weeks Regular exercises and stretching

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate you in detail. -Control  Hypertension, Diabetes or  metabolic disorder, if there is any.  - Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. - Keep a pillow under the knee. - Avoid painful acts & activities. - Fomentation with warm water. -Let the part not be exposed cold. -Do mild exercises for the affected part.-   lower limbs  -Any way it may be tried, --. Ugesic (Piroxicam) 20mg 1tab once  a day x 5days  --. Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1tab Once  a day x 10 days. First try to control hypothyroid disorder. Weight loss will help with both your problems. You should initially start with walking and continue to do Active and Static quadriceps and hamstring strengthening exercises to decrease the stress on your knees.
Next Steps
Take regular vit d , vit c and calcium supplementation.

Was there any injury over ankle or knee. This may be temporary due to soft tissue sprain around ankle and knee joint. This may also be associated with tissue weakness or calcium and vitamin d deficiency.
Next Steps
You can start with Hot fomentation,  take analgesic in case of severe pain, take calcium and vitamin d supplement. Start knee and ankle strengthening exercises.

Avoid heavy work, avoid sitting down, avoid use of Indian toilet.
