Kind of skin itching in daughters sole
Dear doc My daughter had some kind of itching in her left sole. She strtd scratching it. This has been there for past two days. But tull yester she was OK. Again in the night she had severe itching and the skin has become very thick now with some kind of dark patch. Pls let me know what can be done n why this has happened. I wil send the pic of it too There was no insect bite or any thorn prick. Pls help. She keeps scratching it since its so itchy

A more thorough examination is required.Chances are that something has pricked her sole which went un-noticed.If that is the case..it might even get infected.Some infections also start with lesion on sole.

Thorough clinical examination .Preferably physical .If not video consult

Try to wash with vinegar and  use antifungal. Better if you consult skin specialist or child specialist dealing with skin disease. One may advice to go for skin mear test.
