My father age 72 has blood sugar fasting 118 and food 175. His blood urea level is 70, and serum creatinine is 1.78. What is the seriousness of kidney failure in this case and what kind of treatment is advisable.

Urea , creatinine value is slightly more than normal.one has to find the cause of the condition.raised values are only effect due to more retention of nitrogenous waste products in body normally kept low in body by kidneys Renal disease may be acute onset (short duration)or chronic(long duration). Consult a nephrologist to find the cause and treatment of the cause is treatment of raised values
