Kidney cancer
I was diagnosed with kidney cancer recently in the week and it was detected on a CAT Scan. The tumor is about 2cm but the doctors are having trouble with the exact location so an ultrasound follows. Will a complete kidney removal, or a partial be necessary? Would an ultrasound detect the exact location, and if it’s so small is surgery even necessary?

CECT KUB with renal Angiogram is the investigation of choice for renal cancer. Non operative management is only considered if u r unfit for Surgery. Partial nephrectomy is the ideal Surgery if feasible anatomically.
