K.pneumonia
My sputum culture shows heavy growth of k. Pneumoniae, but i have only symptoms of cough(with phlegm) and shortness of breathe once only i had during morning that too lasted for only some minutes..
Aprt from that sputum comes clear/white..
Right now i am on a course of ceftum 500 twice a day for 5 days and decet od for 21 days.
So is this anything serious and requires further treatment after the prescribed course or it is curable? Attached the report.
Should I do sputum culture after the course is over or what?
I am scared as i read this type of pneumonia is serious:(.
Please guide.
