Joints pain and cough breathing problem

Asked for Male, 27 Years

Hello doctor. My age is 27. I have dry eyes and eye pain for about 2 years. Eye drops are not helping much. I also have joint pain, muscle pain, sometimes breathing problem, and occasional upper right abdominal pain. Blood tests, LFT and RFT are normal. Please tell me what could be the reason and which specialist doctor or tests I should do.

Dry eye with myalgias and arthralgias for 2 years favours an underlying connective tissue disease. Since you are also having breathlessness sometimes, it is possible that the disease is progressing to involve lungs. (Assuming your Hb and TSH is normal) Clinical features like skin rash, bluish discoloration of fingers on cold exposure, multiple dental caries are often overlooked by the patient or the physician. If you have any of these symptoms and also if joint pain is associated with early morning stiffness, you should get yourself evaluated for Sjogren disease. If you are from punjab, you can consult me in Sangrur. Or else you should show any other nearby Rheumatologist.
